Whos DDM?

It is November and this DDM has lots going on in her life.

We are going to be moving. Our house is listed and we are relocating because Hubby got a transfer with the bank he works with. We are excited and thrilled about new opportunities for our family.

The Wee Ladies will love the move. EvieG is 5 and thinks the move will be fun, but she will miss her family and friends, and her bedroom. Spark Plug, who is 2 ½ and The Destroyer, who is 1 ½ don’t really know what is going on. As long as they still have cookies, Kraft Dinner, and Timbits, they are good to go.

The house is spotless right now. I have de-cluttered, touched up paint, and reorganized every room and its contents. It is amazing what you can do when you have to. Hubby and I were laughing about the fact that we had been opening a kitchen drawer with a broken handle for the last 2 years. We had to open the drawer beside it first and then stick our fingers in the top of the broken drawer to pry it open. It took all of about 3 minutes to fix. Now that the handle is replaced, we find that we are still not using the handle! Embedded habits due to procrastination. We decided we should have de-cluttered ages ago. But kids kept us busy instead.

We haven’t touched or even looked in the attic yet. We are saving that until the last. I am scared as to what we might find hidden away in its depths. I think the rotisserie chicken oven AS SEEN ON TV is hiding up there. And I think the bowling ball and bag are still up there from the previous owners. We just might have to call the junk people to come over and help us clear all the crap out.

We have to travel to find a place to live in our new town. We will be driving back and forth this month. I am sure to gain a few pounds thanks to the coffee and cream and other treats I am bound to consume. I will try to pack a cooler of healthy snacks instead. We all know that it won’t happen.

I am going to keep a tally. A tally of how many games of I Spy we play, how many movies the kids watch on the road, and how many boxes of Timbits we buy. Oh, and how many pounds
I gain.

Care to make any bets on how many? I dare you.

All’s I’m sayin’s all.
